Predestination
Scripture of interest:
“For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations” Psalms 100:5.
My Commentary:
All I have today is a question which I would love you to answer and then I will give my take on the question.
QUESTION: Does God predestine some people to be saved and others condemned to hell?
If God decided ahead of time who gets saved and who doesn’t, John 3:16 is a big lie. After all, Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, not a select few. When it says whosoever believes it means anyone. He is no respected of persons.
No, God does not predestine some to be saved and others not to be. For so many reasons. John 3:16, amongst other scriptures. If there was predestination God could not hold people accountable because he is a just God. How do you punish someone for being what you created them to be?
This has gem discussed for hundreds of years.
If GOD knows all, and He knows every word, every thought, then God knows who will be saved. Yet, without preaching, how will the world know the Good News?
A complex oxymoron to be sure.
I am eternally secure unless I blaspheme the Holy Spirit up to my last breath.
